Our Ministry

Going Into the Harvest

Tell A Friend

Relationships are so important to our Heavenly Father, which is why He sent His Son Jesus.  It’s about fellowship and getting to know one another.  That is what Will and I have being doing since we arrived at Haskell Indian Nations University three years ago, building friendships with students and staff.

Just recently we were invited to go into one of the dorms for a time of praise and blessing of the dorms.  It was totally set up by God. We had the blessing of the dorm, staff and students services.  They decided to do this blessing as soon as the students came into the lobby.  We had about 25 students that participated. We said, “OK God we need your help and guidance.”  We sang songs and Will, my husband and ministry partner, shared the Word. We prayed for the Lord to bless the dorm, that the students would feel safe and have peaceful sleep. One student, Joy, who did not sleep in her dorm because of some spiritual activity going on in her room, is now able to sleep in her dorm and have very pleasant sleep. I was also blessed to have the staff and students services as a part of the whole blessing.  After the blessing two young ladies came back to the LIGHT House. I was able to share the Gospel with them. One young person was already a Christian and the other student asked to have a Bible. It was such a wonderful time of sharing the Love of Jesus to the students and allowing the Light of Jesus to be released into the dorm.

Since that time we have been asked to go into another dorm.  We are looking forward to our next God assignment.

As we share the Gospel with the students and staff, the Holy Spirit is at work. One young lady I have been ministering to came in after Christmas and she looked different. She said she turned her life around and is now attending church. I was so blessed to hear how the Holy Spirit is working in her life.

Vision Quest is still going strong. This past week one of the topics in our class was on goals and dreams. I sang a song on the drum, which is called “Walk in the Light”. The song talks about hopes and dreams. After class, one of the students stayed back and shared with me how Jesus is the One who is going to help her.

This semester we also have new students coming to Bible study.  God has moved in the hearts of the students.  The students look forward to the Sunday Worship Service that we began in February.  As we have sown the seeds we see that God is faithful and is bringing in those students one by one, whose hearts are ready to receive salvation.  Thank you for partnering with us!
